Spring Painting with TANIA VRANCIC

Spend a creative day exploring the colours, shapes and beauty of spring with local artist Tania Vrancic. Tania is a practising local artist with a wealth of knowledge and experience, and she will guide students through a fun, hands-on day of painting, collage and botanical art.

Part 1 – Painted Paper & Collage

Students will begin by creating their own painted paper tablecloth using acrylic paints and paint pens, inspired by a vase of spring flowers. They will then use their painted papers to explore collage, following a simple template to choose, cut and arrange their pieces before framing their finished work (A4 Size).

After a lunch break, students will move onto Part 2 – Botanical Painting, where they will paint their own botanical-inspired artwork on canvas, exploring colour, shape, brushwork and creative expression with Tania's guidance.

- Acrylic painting techniques and colour mixing

- Using paint pens to create detail and pattern

- Creating and working with painted collage papers

- Cutting, arranging and composing a finished artwork

- Botanical painting techniques

- Building confidence with colour, shape and creative expression

Students will take home two finished artworks — a framed A4 collage artwork and their own botanical painting on canvas.

All art materials, acrylic paints, paint pens, collage materials, A4 matting, canvas and guided instruction with Tania.

Tania Vrancic – Local Artist

Tania is a local practising artist with a wealth of creative knowledge and experience. Her relaxed and encouraging approach gives students the opportunity to experiment, learn new techniques and develop their own artistic style.

BYO lunch and water bottle. We will have a lunch break inbetween sessions.

Wear clothes suitable for painting and creative activities. Aprons provided.
